Hysterectomy in Cleveland

The Modern Woman's Approach to Hysterectomy

Understanding Your Needs for a Hysterectomy

In Cleveland, Westlake, Rocky River, Bay Village, and throughout our communities, women are coming to terms with hysterectomies.

There are situations that warrant a hysterectomy as a preventative measure and health issues that require this procedure to eliminate them. Our doctors’ decades of experience in women’s health allows us to take the lead for hysterectomy surgery, and our care center makes your surgical appointment feel as comfortable as possible.

When other options don’t work, a hysterectomy can mean a fresh start on better health.

What It Treats

Uterine fibroids

Heavy/prolonged bleeding

Pelvic pain

Uterine prolapse

Endometriosis

Adenomyosis

How It Works

You’ll first be put under general anesthesia for your procedure, then our surgical experts will make minimal incisions in your abdomen to reach your uterus. Then, our team carefully makes the incision needed to remove your uterus before stitching the incisions to together and dressing the wound.

There are many reasons for women to need or want a hysterectomy. At Advanced Women’s Health, we are here to help you make informed decisions about your health and provide the treatment you need to lead a healthy and happy life.

Benefits

Everyone deserves to feel confident in their healthcare. Our team helps you by providing the information, resources, and support you need to make these important medical decisions.

How It Works

Step 1: Consultation

Every treatment at our women’s care center starts with a personal consultation. As women treating women, we’ll have an open and candid discussion about your goals. At the consultation, we will determine 1 of 4 ways in which your hysterectomy would be performed (vaginal, abdominal, laparoscopic, or daVinici robotic-assisted hysterectomy).

Step 2: Treatment

When you come in for your hysterectomy in Cleveland, you’ll be surrounded by an experienced and caring team in the operating room. When you’re under anesthesia, we’ll conduct your hysterectomy via 1 of 4 ways determined at your consultation.

Step 3: Recovery

Most of our hysterectomy procedures allow you to go home on the same day of surgery. We will always do our best to deliver the least invasive surgery necessary so that healing time is the shortest possible.

Meet Our Team

When we say we’re a family of female physicians, we mean it. Dr. Habibeh L. Gitiforooz has been practicing gynecology in Cleveland for over 25 years. Her daughters followed in her healing footsteps, earning degrees and practicing medicine before joining “Dr. G” at her successful practice.

Together with a skilled and dedicated team of fellow female physicians, nurse practitioners, licensed estheticians, and care specialists, their surgery and health center flourished, and they opened their aesthetics and wellness center.
