Step 1: Consultation
Before your procedure, you will need to undergo a personal consultation with one of our providers. You and your provider will discuss what concerns you have and your medical history. This will help your provider determine the right procedure and if it would be performed in an office versus hospital setting.
Step 2: Procedure
To begin, your provider will either give you local anesthesia or general anesthesia depending on the setting of your procedure. Then, they will make diamond-shaped incision near your vaginal opening, then work to remove damaged skin and repair muscle. Once they are finished, your provider will close the incision with dissolvable stitches.
Step 3: Recovery
Once you have completed your perineoplasty surgery in Cleveland, your provider will give you aftercare instructions to follow while you are home. They will then schedule a follow-up for 1 to 2 weeks after your appointment. During your follow-up, they will examine the surgical area to ensure everything is healing well.
