During your consultation, our dermatology provider examines your scalp, performs lab work and possibly a biopsy to determine what type of hair loss you are experiencing. We can treat hair loss that is caused by androgenic alopecia (caused by aging) and telogen effluvium (‘hair shock’ caused by stressors such as pregnancy, weight loss from GLP-1 medications, or viral infections such as COVID-19).
We review your results, discuss the best treatment options for you, and then proceed with your personalized care. Depending on your results, your treatment plan could include a combination of oral medications, topical solutions, and/or in-office procedures.

The Hair Restoration Process
Step 1: Consultation
You’ll start your hair restoration journey by meeting with our dermatology provider for a consultation. At this visit, your provider will ask you questions about your health history, perform a scalp examination and run a few lab tests. Should we need to, we may also perform a scalp biopsy to gain further insight.
Step 2: Review Lab Results
Your lab and pathology results provide clues about what may be causing your hair loss, which helps us determine and formulate the best course of personalized treatment plan for you.
Step 3: Treatment & Results
You start the 6-month program and can expect to see initial results within 3 months, with more noticeable regrowth developing over 9 to 12 months.
Pre-Care & Post-Care Instructions
- Come to your consultation and treatment appointments with your hair freshly washed and dry, free of all hair products.
Your aftercare will depend on the type of treatment you receive and your progress.
- To complement your in-office treatments, we recommend using the take-home products, such as oral medications, serums, shampoos and conditioners prescribed, to further boost scalp health.
- Continue to receive maintenance treatments such as IV therapy, red LED Light Therapy, and hair PRP or Microneedling.
- Drink plenty of water and eat a balanced, nutritious diet.
